I just found out my vacation days were cut down (boooooooo economy!), so I'm trying to plan out all my days off for the year so I won't run out by Christmas.
Therefore, it's time to set the date for The Dirty Thirty! How's about the weekend of September 18th?

I'm liking it. I'll check with Dee, and give it some thought when I'm not glazed over from a 11 hr workday, and post back. But I'm liking it.
I like it, too. I may still be broke, but I'll try to get it combined with a parent-paid trip to see the nephew.

where would everyone be staying (guess)?? I wanted to look into the packages they always offer, see if we can afford to come! Sounds like a great time :)

For accommodations, ideally somewhere near the strip but on the cheaper side. The Stratosphere worked out well for us last time. 4 to a room was pretty affordable for the hotel part.
It is easy to find hotels on the strip for $35-40 a night, downtown: 25-35. I prefer downtown, seedier, cheaper table games, more interesting cast of characters. But no fountains, tittybiches in ferraris or $50 buffets either....
This will mark the age of me being too old for seedy and/or crusty hotels, but maybe we can find a cheap one that's ok. Or we could just try to stay in hotels near each other. I don't care about downtown vs strip.
As of now, we have nothing scheduled that weekend. 4 to a room sounds good. So keep us posted on hotels, prices etc.
